What to Look for in a Life Insurance Company

Todd: How good is the company? What is the quality of the company? This is a you know a situation where you’re going to have a policy for 10, 20, 30 years. So it goes a long time, and if you need this particular company 28 years down the road, you want to make sure that their financially stable enough so that they’re going to be there. One of the things that we always talk about when we talk with customers on the phone is our AM Best rating.

Vince: What does that mean?

Todd: So, it’s basically the financial security of the company that’s writing this particular policy. Our life company is rated A+. Make sure that the company that you’re going to be placing this policy with, again knowing that you may need them 20 years down the road, is secure enough to be there.
